Wellies & Expectations

Hello Wellington. Also, welcome back to wordpress for me.

When I finished Uni 4 weeks back the shackles were removed and a post has not been drafted since.

However, the state of flux I now find myself in dictates to me that this must change.

Nothing drastic, I’m sitting in a gorgeous apartment overlooking Wellington bay. Here for The Hobbit premiere in a week or so.

This is the first time I’ve ever properly travelled for work. Proper work, I guess. Not modelling.

What the hell do I do?

I’m here, the city is waiting. But it’s not really a holiday is it? It’s a work trip. I still want to enjoy myself but I hesitate to see how the lines are defined between work and play.

‘If your hours are the same as me, you’ll be working all night man’. That’s one of my colleagues. I just stared at him, one eyebrow lifted.

See I don’t have a problem with working late hours. Working long days. I do have a problem with not knowing what is expected.

As if it’s some sort of innate necessity, I want to know when something is needed, why (sometimes not a great reflex), and for what purpose. After all, I maintain that it can only help me to better fulfil that task.

Alas, the week is young (I flew in this morning) and I may be jumping the gun.

I may post again, depends on how things progress..
